ROLE / FUNCTION
Arij is an emerging artist, and she is part of the curatorial collective.
BACKGROUND
Over the past year, Arij has been delving into the field of an Art Mediation, in order to put her artistic knowledge into action and develop it once exposed to the audience. Arij is passionate about art mediation as it allows to fulfill the full potential of contemporary art in Tunisia. Art Mediation is about interaction, debate, and speech.
“I believe that I can make a change even on a microscopic level. As the audience asks questions on how the artwork functions or what it is about, there will eventually be debate and through that debate, I believe I can serve awareness about the issues the exhibition tries to communicate, facilitate the understanding of artworks, and hence art is no longer exclusive to the elite and it can make an impact on everyone”
This year Arij is aspiring to work as a part of the curating collective of INTERFERENCE to develop her practice in the field of arts as several causes and matters can be communicated through art or in other words through material, both analog and digital.
